The Good Flour Co began out of necessity in the kitchen of Chef Jen Peters who had been working as a chef for 20 years in fine dining restaurants, developing an uncompromising dedication to high-quality food. She worked abroad in London England in Michelin-starred restaurant. Returning home to Vancouver, BC she discovered she was gluten intolerant. Jen, not being the type to give up easily, set up to learn how to bake Gluten-free. Motivated by a need to make eat beautiful food she began research to create a gluten-free, hassle-free all-purpose baking blend. She wanted to find a way to keep breads, scones, and pastas in her life.
Her partner, Chef Hamid Salimian came home from a week trip to find their home kitchen became a laboratory for all things Gluten-free!! Nine months of testing recipes after recipe. Always looking for combination of flours that would allow for easy cooking without settling for low-quality alternatives. In 2012, Chef Jen Peters & Chef Hamid Salimian started a company called Nextjen Gluten-Free that company grew into what is now called The Good Flour Co.
The goal of our the Flour Company was and always will be to provide safe flour mixes, to give you back the options to bake and cook as you like. To provide the best ingredients, blended in perfect balanced for flavour texture and nutrition.
