We’ve all been there. That piping hot piece of pizza with the perfect crispy and bubbly crust is just so hard to resist. It’s not just the stretchy cheese and sauce, but that dough… it’s my biggest weakness. As a chef, I have a lot of weaknesses to be honest! But when I discovered that I was gluten intolerant, giving up pizza was not an option. I believe everyone should be able eat what they love, in a way that doesn’t cause our bodies stress or harm.
Most of us who are gluten-free know how fast the symptoms of gluten cheating kick in after that first bite. Even when we shouldn’t have gluten, a gooey piece of pizza can throw us off our game. But then the upset stomach, the stuffed up nose, bloated stomach, itchy skin and the instant immune system crash brings on the cold or flu. That energy drain can ruin your whole day. When all is said and done, we all know that we would feel better and simply live better if we didn’t cheat.
So now, we don’t have to! I’ve spent the last two years testing ingredients to create our Nextjen Gluten-Free All-Purpose Baking Blend and I’m so excited to share it with you finally. Our gluten-free baking blend will work as a simple flour replacement – whether it’s comfort food or your favourite family recipe.
